On beta, pressing on the brightness buttons increases and decreases the brightness. However, it requires hitting the keys several times to see much change in the brightness. Furthermore, the brightness applet doesn't appear on top of the desktop. Please find attached the output of /var/log/acpid for pressing the keys and the requested dmidecode information from the wiki page.
