vesa drivers: acpi_sleep=s3_bios With both configurations above I have made the following changes (that I'm aware of): In /etc/default/acpi-support: SAVE_VBE_STATE=false POST_VIDEO=false I'm not using the thinkpad-acpi module, but I don't think that should make much of a difference.
