Public bug reported: I have my camera (Canon D700) configured to record RAW+JPG files. So this generates, say, IMG_1234.CR2 and IMG_1234.JPG.
However when importing these to Shotwell it goes and creates IMG_1234_embedded.jpg as well. This is not needed and wastes disk space and slows down importing. (Possibly related suggestion: It would be fab if Shotwell had an option to ignore raw files as I only use it for viewing my processed images but like to keep the raw files around in case I want to tweak again later. ) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: shotwell 0.22.0+git20160108.r1.f2fb1f7-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-15.31-generic 4.4.6 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Fri Mar 25 19:36:31 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-03-21 (4 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Alpha amd64 (20160307) SourcePackage: shotwell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: shotwell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1562140 Title: When importing raw+jpg files shotwell needlessly creates _embedded.jpg files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1562140/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
