Hi, I have tried nvidia-glx-new earlier, and it is not giving any improvements. As a matter of fact, it chrashes my x-session and I have only text-based interface. The same both for nvidia-glx-new and nvidia-glx. At present I'm back to Dapper, and I cant understand why this "old" release is functioning well for *most* of what I want from my computer, but none of the newer versions do that. As a matter of fact, none of the Ubuntu releases have been able to utilize CD-DW. I can write only once, and from there only read. But the symbol CD-RW present.
