I have an Acer TravelMate 6292 with a Realtek ALC268. For gutsy, the snd_hda_intel module is now in the lum package (ie. linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22 package).
So as suggested, I rebuild the gutsy lum package after patching it with the realtek 17 patch available here: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=3104 After installing the newly package and adding the following line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base: options snd-hda-intel model=acer Note: You can specify one of the following model : acer, toshiba, 3stack or auto After that everything almost works !!! - Internal speaker works - Headphones works and internal speakers are automuted when plugged - External speaker works and internal speakers are automuted when plugged - Internal mic doesn't seem to work... - External mic untested. The deb attached is the my rebuild of the lum package for gutsy. Shoudn't we reaffect this bug to the lum package ? ** Attachment added: "Package for gutsy rebuild with ACL268 patch" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9682509/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-12-generic_2.6.22-12.32.1_i386.deb -- No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
