Public bug reported: /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/debug is broken
It outputs the name of the variable twice, rather than the contents of the variable, e.g. ipaddress='ipaddress' The fix is to change eval "content=\$var" to eval "content=\$$var" I believe the fixed script is attached to this bug ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: isc-dhcp-client 4.3.1-5ubuntu3.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-27.32-generic 4.2.8-ckt1 Uname: Linux 4.2.0-27-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Wed Mar 9 14:02:53 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-01-14 (54 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Release amd64 (20151021) SourcePackage: isc-dhcp UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) mtime.conffile..etc.dhcp.dhclient.enter.hooks.d.debug: 2016-03-09T13:56:09.331819 ** Affects: isc-dhcp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug wily -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1554919 Title: dhclient debug script error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isc-dhcp/+bug/1554919/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
