I may reproduce Jayarama's test. His "success" in system booting from virsh
console (able to enter passphrase on /dev/hvc0) was only because he did not
have kimchi terminal support in his domain (sj1_ubuntu_15.10) definition. In
other words, he created the domain by command line instead of from kimchi UI.

If the kimchi UI support:

<graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' listen='127.0.0.1'>
<listen type='address' address='127.0.0.1'/>
</graphics>
<graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' listen='127.0.0.1'>
<listen type='address' address='127.0.0.1'/>
</graphics>

is manually added to the domain definition, then he has no way to enter
LUKS passphrase from virsh console (hvc0) or kimchid terminal (tty1).
