------- Comment From lc...@us.ibm.com 2016-03-07 11:35 EDT------- (In reply to comment #18) I may reproduce Jayarama's test. His "success" in system booting from virsh console (able to enter passphrase on /dev/hvc0) was only because he did not have kimchi terminal support in his domain (sj1_ubuntu_15.10) definition. In other words, he created the domain by command line instead of from kimchi UI.
If the kimchi UI support: <graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' listen='127.0.0.1'> <listen type='address' address='127.0.0.1'/> </graphics> <graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' listen='127.0.0.1'> <listen type='address' address='127.0.0.1'/> </graphics> is manually added to the domain definition, then he has no way to enter LUKS passphrase from virsh console (hvc0) or kimchid terminal (tty1). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1503826 Title: Boot hangs in blank for no way to enter LVM passphrase at kimchi/virsh console To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1503826/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
