Public bug reported:

I looked up for updates this morning, but after finding an update for the Clock
app, appeared the message:
"Sign in to Ubuntu One to receive updates for apps."
And below a button to sign in.
I found it strange because I never seen this message when updating before, but
the real problem is that even if I push the button and sign in, nothing changes
and I can't update, same message there.
I also added my Ubuntu One account to the account section of the System
Settings panel, but again nothing changes, and when checking the account it had
disappeared.
Seems that it can't stay logged in to the Ubuntu One account or sign in at all.

** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
