I also experience this bug in Ubuntu 15.10 when trashing the trash-
directory (either .Trash-1000 on external drives or
~/.local/share/Trash). The backtrace is attached.

However nautilus doesn't always crash, initially I thought it only
happens when I select some files and additionally the trash-directory
and then hit the Delete-key, but it also happens when I only try to
trash the Trash-directory. I could not determine exactly what triggers
the crash, sometimes nautilus behaves correctly by showing me the dialog
that the directory can't be trashed and if I want to delete it
immediately instead. But then sometimes this crash happens, it seems
pretty random to me.

This was tested in a fresh installation of Ubuntu 15.10 with all updates
from the default package repositories up-to-date.

** Attachment added: "Backtrace of the crash. Happened when I tried to delete
~/.local/share/Trash"
