I also experience this bug in Ubuntu 15.10 when trashing the trash- directory (either .Trash-1000 on external drives or ~/.local/share/Trash). The backtrace is attached.
However nautilus doesn't always crash, initially I thought it only happens when I select some files and additionally the trash-directory and then hit the Delete-key, but it also happens when I only try to trash the Trash-directory. I could not determine exactly what triggers the crash, sometimes nautilus behaves correctly by showing me the dialog that the directory can't be trashed and if I want to delete it immediately instead. But then sometimes this crash happens, it seems pretty random to me. This was tested in a fresh installation of Ubuntu 15.10 with all updates from the default package repositories up-to-date. ** Attachment added: "Backtrace of the crash.
