/boot partition is big enough to contain few kernels. Even a bigger /boot would become full, if old unused kernels are never removed, and new kernel updates keep coming. Some people may want to install kernels from more than one series; e.g. they install linux-image-generic-lts-wily to experiment on newer kernels on Trusty. Or they may want to install manually some upstream kernels (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds?action=show&redirect=KernelMainlineBuilds) The question is how big is adequate /boot?
