problems are related to this component.

Do we have to replace this NIC card with a newer one and which ones
could be the best choice for use in both Ubuntu and Vista ?

This NIC card WAS a famous and reliable one in the past, but I must
admit that it generates some troubles both in Ubuntu Feisty and under
Vista (impossible to find a reliable driver for Vista...) !
