We use the icon that comes bundled with the webapp. We cannot use favicons per se since they are definitely too small (by default) but we are currently working on supporting installable webapps (as in https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2014/11/Support-for- installable-web-apps-with-webapp-manifest-in-chrome-38-for- Android?hl=en).
