Public bug reported: Upgrade options from the current LTS are for either the next LTS or the subsequent point release. The next LTS is not yet available and the subsequent point release is "failing to calculate", presumably because it is no longer supported. If my interpretation of the problem is correct, then that suggests an end-user design flaw, id est: There is a (large) window of time in which the LTS may be upgraded. Beyond that, if new features are needed, upgrading is no longer an option and a complete reinstall is required.
