I also have a HP 430 G3, on Ubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.2.0-23. Same issue (no sound). Above solution from Simone (14-12-2015) failed to work for me.
But the following does work and has the advantage of persisting. 1. Create a new modprobe.d file: /etc/modprobe.d/intel.conf 2. Add these entries: options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1 options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1 3. reboot.
