Having taken a look into Manjaro which is always a little in advance of
Kubuntu, I noticed that they have the standard oxygen-cursor package
installed as a standard. (Not having tested if the oxgen-icons-extra
still installs) This activates also a high-contrast cursor theme - which
would be an argument in terms of accessibilty (visually impaired) much
higher evaluated than "not-liking it".

This icon-theme is still installable in the pre-alpha of Kubuntu. Did U
test this? Is this sufficient?
