Please fill separate reports for each bug in the future. Otherwise it is
quite hard to keep track of them.

Actually there seem to be an issue with your /etc/X11/xorg.conf. It
doesn't seem to be readable.

Please append the output of the following commands:

xset q

ls -lh /etc/X11/xorg.conf

The "you need administrative rights" dialog was fixed: It was shown if
the config file could not be accessed or was missing. Since
displayconfig-gtk starts its fallback mode I suggest that the file does
not exist.

In fallback mode displayconfig-gtk cannot detect the resolutions from
your screen. Youhave to specify a monitor model. This will be fixed in
Gutsy+1.

With the following command you can recreate your xorg.conf:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Furthermore I would suggest displayconfigt-gtk to the latest version in
Gutsy.
