Public bug reported:
HandBrake fails when reading chapter info on a DVD. This has been
verified on two machines both using Ubuntu Mate 14.04.3 LTS. The
HandBrake program used to work on these machines about a year ago. The
DVDs used for testing have been ripped by HandBrake previously on one of
these machines.
When Handbrake returns from reading the DVD it has no information, not
even a title for the file to create.
