Public bug reported:

I switched from Xfce using Lightdm to Gnome-Shell using gdm3 I noticed my
bluetooth headset stopped working
after couple hours of google searching I found out its because there was or is
2 copies of pulseaudio running
one copy was running as my normal logged in user the other was gdm3
when I took steps to prevent gdm3 from starting a copy of pulseaudio by
chmod'ing the pulseaudio binary to only allow my normal user my bluetooth
headset started working again I was able to connect it and become the audio sink
