After installing 2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1.7 on Trusty (14.04.3 32-bit) I no longer see the message during boot. (This was perfect timing for me! I only just dealt with the upgrade from Grub legacy today and was disappointed to see an error message, which is now gone) Thanks
