Public bug reported: While Ctrl-T and Ctrl-W work to open and close a tab, there is no key combination to cycle through the tabs (in the active window). This is inconvenient, as Thunar provides good keyboard-oriented interface otherwise.
Consistency with other applications in terms of the chosen key combination would be desirable. Just for reference: * All major web browsers use Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab to cycle through tabs in forward/reverse order -- this is a quite natural key combination from my point of view. * Ctrl-Tab cycles through the various parts of the whole user interface (sidebar, location, tabs pane) -- this is somewhat confusing to me, though probably in line with other Xfce applications. * Xfce terminal emulator uses Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn to cycle through tabs in forwards/reverse order. (Adding corresponding menu commands would be also probably useful/needed.) ** Affects: thunar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: usability -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1525573 Title: No key combination to switch/cycle tabs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+bug/1525573/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
