Dear Christopher, I updated the BIOS today. Ouput from the command you requested is:
$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date [password] A07 11/11/2015 The problem persists, so I have marked this as Confirmed, per your request. As I stated in the initial post, the problem is that when I connect an external monitor, it is not detected using the standard 4.2.x.xx kernel. When I use the mainline 4.3 kernel, the external monitor is detected and operates as expected. If you need any other specific information, please don't hesitate to ask. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1520751 Title: Kernel 4.2 does not detect external monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1520751/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
