I'm on 4.3.0-040300-generic #201511020949 and don't get the errors. I was still stuck on on software rendering so unity was horribly slow until I found an xorg.conf file that was specifying a "mali fbdev" device (/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf). Once this was removed (actually commented out) I had hardware rendering back.
