hi kai and alberto, alberto, am i right in thinking it sounds like there is a new fix and i should try and the software updater method matthew described to see if it will sort itself. when i tried it last it just crashed.
kai, and if that doesn't work then you're saying that it's safe to just purge the fglrx. that won't break it worse?
