Public bug reported: *After* I do a software update from the command line:
$ sudo apt-get upgrade a new icon appears in my system tray, which looks like a shield with a red "X" on it. (See screenshot.) To my eye, the red X means that my software is out of date. However, my software is up to date. This behavior seems backwards. Shouldn't the icon appear *before* the update, and then disappear after the update? When I click the icon, a rectangle appears that says "Updates: System up to date." There appears to be no way to make this icon disappear, short of hiding it permanently.
