Public bug reported: I have a 'no name' pcmcia scsi card that fails to register.
The only identifying info is FCC ID: ANA40G 1890. It claims to be a Fdomain card. What happens: After powering up with the card and my HP scsi scanner installed lspcmcia shows the card, fdomain_cs module is loaded. lsscsi does not show the card. The machine hangs on poweroff. I have tried this on both a T61P and a W500. If I try to do a 'modprobe fdomain_cs' at a terminal it hangs in the command. raph@w500:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS Release: 14.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: linux-image-generic-lts-utopic 3.16.0.53.44 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-53.72~14.04.1-generic 3.16.7-ckt18 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-53-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.18 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Tue Nov 17 12:23:44 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-06-03 (166 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 14.04.2 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20150218.1) SourcePackage: linux-meta-lts-utopic UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: linux-meta-lts-utopic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1517016 Title: pcmcia scsi card not recognised/initialised To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta-lts-utopic/+bug/1517016/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
