Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
I am using 7.10 Beta. I downloaded the "Compiz Config Settings Manager" tool and most everything works fine. However the setting "Place Windows" under the Window management section cause an annoying behavior. When "Place Windows" is checked, any new window or program opens locked to the upper left hand corner. When the "Place Windows" box is unchecked the windows open off the upper left hand corner of the screen. Most of the Window is shown, and I can press ALT and drag it back into view, but every new window opens without the ability to see the title bar and close/minimize/maximize etc. buttons, which is most annoying! Here is a screen shot of "Place Windows" checked and active. http://picasaweb.google.com/kvitale/Ubuntu710Beta/photo#5115017661438816754 Here is a screen of "Place Windows" Unchecked: http://picasaweb.google.com/kvitale/Ubuntu710Beta/photo#5115017648553914850 ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Compiz Opens windows off Desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145856 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
