Same problem here after update to Wily. Fixed by following this guide: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/218108/no-output-from- headphones-jack-occasionally-although-system-displays-output
and adding "options snd-hda-intel model=tpt440-dock" to /etc/modprobe.d /alsa-base.conf. Version info: Kernel 4.2.0-16-generic #19-Ubuntu SMP and alsa-base 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu5. This is not related to a docking station, and I have a TP440p.
