Public bug reported: Certainly by 13.2.0-1ubuntu1 (trusty), fromBytes blows up when handed an ipv6 address, because of an assumption that the only valid use of a colon is as part of a port specification. See also bug #1372767.
Patch attached which should fix the issue, though it is against 1:15.2.1-1ubuntu1, and needs a "s/URI/_URI/g" before it will apply to the trusty version. ** Affects: twisted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Patch added: "twisted.diff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1505748/+attachment/4493625/+files/twisted.diff ** Patch removed: "twisted.diff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/twisted/+bug/1505748/+attachment/4493625/+files/twisted.diff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1505748 Title: twisted.web.client._URI.fromBytes does not handle ipv6 addresses To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/twisted/+bug/1505748/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
