This is probably a duplicate of bug #1503655 and bug #1503647. A buggy version of the Linux kernel was uploaded to trusty-proposed (and vivid- proposed) today, and since you - unfortunately - have trusty-proposed enabled in "Software & Updates", the buggy kernel packages were installed at today's update.
