Thanks for reporting this bug and help to make ubuntu make better.
First, I want to apologize that I didn't track this project under the
older name on launchpad as we moved the package to "ubuntu-make" a year
ago and didn't realize that people were filing bugs here ;). More info

Please use the ppa and update from it, your particular upstream bug
change is fixed there!
