Unetbootin is in universe now. Do you mean that it should be moved to
main? That might be a good idea, if it helps keeping it up to date :-)

I have already described the bug in the opening comment. I can add that
it is important to upgrade Unetbootin to the current version (to what is
uploaded to the developer's PPA). Otherwise the version that a regular
user installs is likely to fail to install newer versions of Ubuntu
(particularly the newest version). And Unetbootin is typically used to
install a newer version of Ubuntu into a USB pendrive for testing and
installing.

The problems arise when the boot configuration for the live session is
changed from one version to the next version, and the problems
correspond to some of the problems of the Ubuntu Startup Disk Creator.
Unetbootin's developer can usually fix the problems soon after they are
discovered, but someone most port the current version to the Ubuntu
repos for all the supported versions of Ubuntu.

This bug report does not suggest to develop Unetbootin beyond the
developer's version.
