I have a very similar problem when trying to install torrentflux and all it's dependencies. I am not sure what dependencies where automatically selected for installation. I get the same dialogue box error as above while trying to install through Synaptic. The console stated: "Sanity check failed for mysql" "error encountered creating user:" "No mysql client to execute. (have you installed mysql-client?"
