Public bug reported: I was trying to test kdenlive GPU acceleration with the latest Wily daily. After installing kdenlive, movit and mlt I found that the option to activate it under kdenlive was greyed out, hence unavailable. Movit's developer states, that for GPU acceleration to be available one has to compile mlt with the --enable-opengl parameter. Is this the case for the ubuntu package? If not, including movit in the repos may be pretty much pointless as the only programs (to my knowledge) taking advantage of it are kdenlive and shotcut through the mlt framework.
Thanks in advance for clarification and/or recompile! Paul http://movit.sesse.net/ "To get Kdenlive to work with Movit, you'll need Movit (1.0 is fine, 1.1 is better), MLT from git, and Kdenlive from git (the movit branch). Remember to configure MLT with --enable-opengl --enable-gpl." ** Affects: mlt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1495269 Title: MLT presumably not compiled with OpenGL support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mlt/+bug/1495269/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
