Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu 15.04, GNOME Shell 3.14.4.
System: Acer Aspire V17 Nitro Laptop

Using the menu in the top right of the screen under WIFI -> Turn On does
not turn on WIFI. I've noticed this occurs when I get home and turn off
WIFI to use my standard wired ethernet connection. When returning to the
office in the morning I am unable to turn wifi on as described. I must
fully reboot my computer to do so. Precise steps to reproduce:

1. Connect ethernet port on laptop to wired connection
2. Disable WIFI using the top right menu, WIFI -> Turn Off
3. Close laptop (but leave powered on)
4. Open laptop
5. Attempt enabling WIFI using the top right menu, WIFI -> Turn On

Expected: WIFI turns on

Result: WIFI does not turn on
