Are you sure that the Ubuntu OpenSSH should be running 'inside' the crouton environment? Does crouton run things in a VM, or chroot, or full containers?
There's many X11 errors mentioned there, are they indicative of bigger problems in the crouton environment? This is probably worth a parallel bug report to crouton folks, I'm not sure what Ubuntu could do to fix this.
