FYI, for anyone else who might find this entry, I found two possible workarounds:
a) use pdftops to convert a pdf file into a ps file that will safely print (note, this is pdftops, *not* pdf2ps) b) installing ghostscript, ghostscript-x, libgs9, and libgs9-common packages 9.16~dfsg~0-0ubuntu1 found here (proposed for Ubuntu Wily 15.10): https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ghostscript/9.16~dfsg~0-0ubuntu1 The b) option is nicer because I'm back to being able to print natively from my usual programs, and fortunately it did not require any extra dependencies beyond those already present on my 15.04 system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1470979 Title: ghostscript 9.15+dfsg-0ubuntu2 segmentation fault To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ghostscript/+bug/1470979/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
