For me on a clean install of Ubuntu 15.04 with kernel 3.19.0-15-generic it worked.
First I installed dkms: $ sudo apt-get install dkms Then I followed post #258 downloading the package from post #244. After restarting Wifi was recognized immediately, but the first time I connected to my network the speed was extremely slow. After connecting and disconnecting a couple of times, it is now working fine, although I haven't tested the speed thoroughly compared to windows.
