Public bug reported: Ex: Have 3 kernels installed, [ 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.16.1 ]. Or [4.5.1, 4.8.1, 4.11.1]. Be booted into one of the older kernels. Run purge-old- kernels. You'll be left without the newest kernel. You would run into this if, for instance, you install a new kernel and run the script immediately after.
