Travis, this may not be that simple. There were a few questions in #ubuntu+1 along the lines of "have your GLX applications slowed down since the latest updates?"
Caleb was one of those so I ran the (simple) glxgears comparison here. Last week I'd run glxgears with compiz running the same as now and the reported rates were around 2,500fps at least. I used those glxgears figures as an illustration and asked Caleb to add a comment to this bug report.
