I think I'm experiencing symptoms of the same 'bug'. It may not be a problem with kflickr programming, per se, but I have had no luck with searching the internet for a solution. As is reported above, clicking "Authenticate New User" then "Authorize..." does not open a browser window. In my case, it causes GEdit to open with a file. Hovering over the tab, it gives me the following information about the file:
Name: http://flickr.com/services/auth/?api_key=c0134cf226b1187e3d79e4e1be03d1bf&api_sig=1d8b63041545ef743bc2f83e8a2d315f&frob=72157602121473815-ee532ef41e3bab68-106251&perms=write MIME Type: HTML document (text/html) Encoding: Unicode (UTF-8) The other weird thing about the file is that it has 6 blank lines before the first tag - "<DOCTYPE ...". My theory is that the file is coming down with some attribute that my Feisty system has not registered as belonging to Firefox (or Konqueror). I can't get my system to tell me what's missing from the picture. Any ideas? Can you direct me to some resources that can help? If I find an answer, I'll report back here (or wherever you deem appropriate). --Brian -- Authentication impossible (improbable?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/58374 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
