Since you had a previously customised configuration in
/etc/mysql/my.cnf, packaging did not automatically update it for you,
leaving the old parameter behind. Please see the instructions at the top
of /etc/mysql/my.cnf.migrated for information on updating this.

This is a local configuration issue so I'm marking it Invalid, but
packaging could explain the situation better, which we are tracking in
bug 1447944.
