Thanks for reporting. As you mention, videogen 0.33-4 is available in Ubuntu 15.04 and later releases so I believe this can be mark fixed.
Regarding a potential SRU, from what I see [1] they are more aimed at fixing critical bugs, not necessarily new versions.
