Public bug reported:
My laptop is DELL lattitude d410, intel video card, and using the latest
gutsy version.
System will crash with sttrange blink character when execute the
shutdowm system from gnome menu.
But sometimes it does work normal, most times crash.
and if I want to switch to console with ctrl-alt-f1, same thing happed.
