Public bug reported: Whenever I install a new package, the custom menu entry ~/.menu/eclipse is ignored, it does not show up in the Openbox root-menu you get when right-clicking on the desktop. update-menus successfully creates the menu file ~/.menu/openbox/debian-menu.xml with the eclipse entry included. But the problem seems to be that the same entry is not included in /var/lib/openbox/debian-menu.xml. The problem can be fixed by running
# update-menus --menufilesdir ~/.menu which adds the eclipse menu entry to /var/lib/openbox/debian-menu.xml and makes it visible in the Openbox root-menu. ----------------------------- Description: Ubuntu 15.04 Release: 15.04 openbox: 3.5.2-8 menu: 2.1.47ubuntu1 architecture: amd64 ** Affects: menu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: openbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1469072 Title: Custom menu entry ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/menu/+bug/1469072/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
