Public bug reported: The eXeLearning project (http://exelearning.net/?lang=en) is an authoring environment that enables teachers and students to create and publish open educational resources without the need to become proficient in HTML or XML markup. Content generated using eXeLearning can be exported as web pages, as educational-standard packages used by any Learning Management System, as epub3 files and on mobile devices.
Licensed as GPL, eXe Learning project was initally launched by the exelearning.org community. Since 2010 the exelearning.net community, with the support of Spanish Ministry of Education among other institutions and contributors, has forked and rekindled the development. Source code is available in the upstream forge: http://forja.cenatic.es/scm/?group_id=197 Upstream team generates *.deb packages of every release, roughly 2-4 a year (http://forja.cenatic.es/frs/?group_id=197) and maintains a Launchpad PPA: https://launchpad.net/~exelearning/+archive/ubuntu/exelearning, I think we will be able to maintain the Ubuntu version of the package if it makes into the universe. eXeLearning uses an client-server architecture. The server is in Python, built upon the Twisted framework, with the aid of Nevow and Formless libraries. Convenience copies of those are shipped with the upstream package. Other libraries are required as external dependencies, all of which are already available in Ubuntu repositories. The client component is built in HTML + Javascript, with ExtJS. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: needs-packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1468074 Title: eXeLearning.net - eLearning XHTML & HTML5 editor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1468074/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
