Still a problem in Linux Mint 17.1 64-bit MATE (Ubuntu 14.04). K3b was able to terminate conflicting programs and read the CD. However, but the problem reoccurred after inserting the blank CD into the same drive as the source, so writing/burning was still not possible. Copying was only possible using an external/USB DVD and writing to the in-built DVD writer.
Brasero also had problems but didn't provide such an informative explanation of the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902134 Title: k3b: "Device in use - It is urged to terminate the program gvfsd-cdda before proceeding."
