Public bug reported: Wireshark's UI doesn't work on Ubuntu 15.04 with Gnome3 and dual monitor.
In previous Ubuntu versions, I had to apply the workaround 'export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0' prior to starting wireshark to prevent it from crashing. In 15.04, this no longer has any effect. Wireshark immediately starts fullscreen on the second monitor of my dual-screen setup without title bar. So I can't drag it around. When I click on something, for example to start a new capture, a window opens _behind_ the main window. I can see the new window when ALT-TABbing, but I can never reach it because the main window stays on top. The UI behavior is very erratic, and generally unusable. ** Affects: wireshark (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463673 Title: Wireshark's UI is unusable in Ubuntu 15.04 with Gnome3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wireshark/+bug/1463673/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
