Public bug reported: Ubuntu comes with Eye of gnome and Shotwell viewer as default applications to open image files.
While Eye of gnome allows to rotate and mirror the image, Shotwell viewer allows to crop, to rotate more precisely, to adjust color or to filter "red eye" effect. But none of both has a resize feature, as surprizing as it is in 2015 ! Of course Gimp does resizing, but it's a bit overkill and a less user-friendly tool. Ideally, if most of usual functions (resize, rotate, mirror, crop, color tasks like red-eye, sepia, graying) would be available in the same tool, like Preview.app does in Mac OS X, it would be a great evolution ! ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463304 Title: No way to resize a picture with default software installed on a major and modern OS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1463304/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
