This works:

$ GMT pscoast -R-30/-40/30/40r -JA0/0/5i -B5 -G -P > africa.ps

This doesn't:

$ GMT pscoast -R-30/-40/30/40r -JA0/0/4i -B5 -G -P > africa.ps
pscoast: ERROR: Rectangular region for azimuthal projection extends beyond the
horizon
pscoast: ERROR: Please select a region that is completely within the visible
hemisphere

This hangs with 100% usage:

$ GMT pscoast -R-30/-40/30/40r -JA0/0/3i -B5 -G -P > africa.ps

(note I only change the "width" in the -JA argument). But even when it
works, the generated maps are broken, with missing, incomplete and
spurious lines.
