Hi Brian. Yes, I also have this issue. I am running Feisty on a Dell C600 laptop with an ATI Rage Mobility 128 M3. I have DRI enabled and get full 3D. I had no need to install any drivers. Just edited my xorg.conf file to reduce depth from 24 to 16 and added the "1280x1024" resolution.
Any way to get DRI with 1440x1050 enabled? I noticed that my cursor goes black ONLY when running GL related apps. Funny thing is, when I run glxgears, it goes back, but will return to normal upon closing of the window. This is not the case when the screensaver runs. I have also switched to xscreensaver, as it gives me to use the option of the GL driver which doesn't cause that ridiculous flickering.
